Artist Statement
For the Art Trail I wanted to bring the age-old tradition of folklore to Pontypridd. Traditionally, Folklore is grouped by regions; you’ll find lots of stories from the valleys that mention iconic local landmarks, some specific to Rhondda Cynnon Taf, but it was difficult to find some specific to this beautiful town. Therefore I have created a story inspired by the folklore of the region combined with the history of Pontypridd. Through exploring ‘The Three Bridges of William Edwards’ you’ll find artefacts, secrets, and clues dotted throughout the trail before returning to Storyville Books for a deep dive into the story itself in written or audio form!
