Pronouns: She/Her/They/Them

Creating intuitively and in the moment is where I’ve found my nesting ground; it throws me forward into immersing myself in the process and technique. For this project, it felt only natural to lean into this way of working, to sustain my enjoyment, productivity and wellbeing. Art media I am drawn to include oil pastels, videography and paint, mainly because of their convenience and immediacy. I find that they do not disturb my creative flow. Facilitating art workshops alongside older adults and individuals with dementia is my interest and passion, particularly within an Arts in Health setting.

The artwork on display is a collection of art I have created in various locations across Pontypridd. Curated in a semi-circle, starting from one open door and finishing next to another, this space represents a journey which is not complete, but rather in-progress. On display are my Branwen-like, exaggerated, cartoon face illustrations, in addition to my embroidery, video work, land artworks, tools made from found materials and tree drawings.

Experience the artwork in a way that suits you the most. Take a seat, watch the video, listen to the sound, make some art, or simply have a wander and take in the space to your heart’s content!

A5 prints of the original Branwen-like cartoon face are on sale at a ‘pay what you can’ rate.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Pontypridd Museum, as well as the local businesses of Ponty that have influenced the work.
