Representing the Hawthorn Ward

Bio

I have lived in the Hawthorn Ward since 1993 and raised my family here, volunteering in the community since my first child was two. I helped to raise over £75,000 to refurbish two local parks. I am a 'can do' type of person and like to get stuck in and try to sort out local problems and issues.

I am a School Governor at two schools, sit on the RCT Governors Association and I am Secretary of the local Neighbourhood Watch.  As one of the Good Companions, I help run monthly free coffee mornings in the local community centre.

I enjoy gardening and helping out at the Meadow Street Community, one of the many local activities looked after by Pontypridd Town Council, and also enjoy going out for regular litter picks across the area.

My major passion is to take a weekly walk along the River Taff and try to spot Kingfishers every time!
