Artist Statement

I am a participatory artist using mixed media and poetry to focus on self-expression, I work with female domestic abuse survivors focusing on re-empowerment and confidence. All my artwork is centred around core values and memories; I am strongly driven by the idea of bringing to life memories, and valuing family and friends, creating artwork that encourages people to relive the moments that have impacted their life positively, which have created them as a person. My passion is using the creative arts to find value in the life’s people live and the people they surround themselves with. Using the creative arts to take people on a journey to rediscovering their inner self.

I want those who experience my work to feel a sense of value and feel a sense of community the artwork is reflecting.
