I am a Creative Arts Practitioner that implements a strong focus on shared experience. I believe there is always time in the present moment to connect with yourself, others, and the world around us.

Through my practice, I strive to facilitate an environment that considers how best to support an individual to grow and flourish. My art practice encompasses a variety of techniques, but process-based approaches and themes of the natural environment / resources have been recurring themes in my practice. My personal interests include taking care of my many plants, yoga and learning about different spiritual practices, with particular influences taken from Taoist and Buddhist Philosophy. This is notable as these elements of my life are often woven in my creative arts practice and I always endeavour to come across as my most authentic self.

My project for the Art Trail has created in partnership with members of the community of Pontypridd. Over the past month, project participants have been gifted an activity box containing a disposable camera and series of prompts to capture moments in their everyday lives. Alongside their resulting photographs are a series of my own photographs taken around Pontypridd. I have titled the project 'The Perception of Time' as it displays moments captured in the past whilst simultaneously disputing the concept of moments ever existing in the ‘past’, instead asserting the notion that moments in fact only ever exist in the present and whilst we are actively being present. Fragments of the photographs contain mirrors that reflect us so that we are indeed present in the moment of the image. Quotes that inspire the importance of remaining present by some of my favourite authors are displayed alongside the photographs in gold dymo label tape. In addition, a series of sound recordings are provided, short tracks that were recorded during the very moments these photographs were captured.

Thank you Zucco, who have both supported the project and hosted the exhibition of the work for the duration of the trail, and for additional support from local businesses Dharmakala and Max Spielmann - The Photo Expert who helped make my project a reality.
