For me, art is the most open place for expression. It has always been there, and I want to share this constant, grounding companion of mine with the world. It allows me to express with fluidity whilst maintaining a sense of stability.

My work ranges from colourful pallet knife paintings to dance and movement. Dance is a medium that has been with me my whole life, and it feels natural to explore the intersection of art and performance in this way. Inspired by nature, I explore movement that flows like water, understanding that dance is not limited to traditional steps, but movement that is evident in everyday life.

Through embracing fluidity in my work, I enjoy facilitating creative workshops with a variety of groups, helping people to connect to their authentic method of creating without fear of it being ‘perfect’ or complete. My workshops are always open and relaxed, letting conversation be the key to unlocking connection between participants and their artwork.

Pink Room, 2021

Installation Room, and Video Documentation.

I present to you a pink installation room that a celebrates a love for dance and the joy of the colour pink. Pink is a source of comfort for me. Using pallet knife paintings and hand-crafted garlands, this space has been created to show how dance supported my wellbeing and others throughout the covid-19 pandemic.

The video documents an immersive performance engaging in the pink room, combined with audio of how the dancers of Pontypridd felt when asked how they embraced dancing during the pandemic, what inspires them to dance and what type of dance supports them.

I invite you to experience the magic of this piece through the video and installation located in Clwb y Bont. You can also watch the video on this webpage if you are unable to visit in person.
