Donating £1,500 to Velindre Cancer Centre
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to donate £1,500 to Velindre Cancer Centre. The Town Council has supported Velindre since 2012 through our fundraising event, better known as 'Ponty's Big Run for Fun'. However, due to recent circumstances of Covid-19, the event was unfortunately cancelled, giving us the opportunity to donate and continue the support towards those who need it most at Velindre Cancer Centre.
Councillor Loretta Tomkinson, Pontypridd Town Mayor said.... We are very proud to support Velindre Cancer Centre with the donation of £1,500.00 which will help with the amazing and vital work that the Centre provides.
Councillor Carl Thomas, Deputy Town Mayor said... as a former outpatient I will always be very thankful for the support and treatment I received and extremely pleased that the Town Council are able to support this vital service.
